The Talented Turtles worked on a Glitter Portraits project for this year's auction. We collaborated with the Corcoran Gallery of Art on this project, which was a fantastic experience! The artwork will be exhibited and sold at our
Auction Gala night on 2/8/14 at the Katzen Arts Center. We hope you can
join us there.

| We started out with the school portraits that were taken earlier this year, by our fabulous Mann photographer, Laurence Genon. |

| Using carbon paper, the outlines of these portraits were transferred onto paper. |
 |
| Working from the center of the portrait all the way out to the background, we painted our self-portraits using acrylic paint... |

| ...creating artworks both vibrant and detailed. |
 |
| Next step: applying glue to selected parts of the portraits.... |
 |
| ...then adding glitter on top of the glue. |
 |
